INDIA x Techno x 1982

Charanjit Singh is a legend!!! No, I am not referring to the fantastic Indian field hockey player Charanjit Singh above (who won the golden medal with his squad at the Olympics in Tokyo, Japan in 1964). I am talking about a pioneer in the Bollywood history of electronic music - Charanjit Singh.

After decades of composing lots of Bollywood Funk for action films, he imported the Roland TB-303 and TR-808 synthesizers to explain how the sound of early Acid House sounds like in India during 1982 with his Ten Ragas to a Disco Beat.

For downloads and vinyl purchases of Charanjit Singh's re-issue high five the Bombay-Connection crew. They have a huge ancient collection of  rare Bollywood releases.
